My only character is a lvl 20 ranger that finished all the campaigns except factions.

Its a R/E cuz i thought that conjure flame would be uber pwnage with barrage. Howevever, i cant seem to kill a group of monsters without dying!
I have 528hp and 28 mana, is that good?
I have 12 marks and 12 expertise and the rest on fire
I have a hard time farming so what should i do? what is the best profession combo for farming/pvp?
Can anyone provide me a good build that does a lot of damage? is r/e the best for dealing dmg?

lastly, where do you farm? For those who have seen my other thread, i recently came back to Guild Wars so i forgot everything! O_o

pvxwiki is a good place to search for builds or to get ideas for builds, and I did this huge thing on barrage vs other elites in terms of DPS, but I can't really be bothered to dig it up. ;\ Barrage is great aoe if you like spamming it, but I like bringing weird stuff into pve.

Best advice is to find something you enjoy playing and stick with it.

Your health is a bit low for me, but eh, try putting survivor insignia's on your armor, and buying a sup vigor if you can afford it. Buy a +1 Marksmanship mask, and add either a major marksmanship rune or a minor. (Your choice), you should probably consider getting a minor expertise rune too. I honestly don't play ranger that much but that's what I run. ;o

You should try setting up your heroes too, that could be a factor in why you're dying.

Depends really on what you want to farming I guess. o-o I don't use my ranger ever so I can't help you there. I remember way back when people used rangers to farm Fissure Forest, and those Ice Breaker hammers.

ur health should be sufficient in pve... Same with ur energy... If you forget a lot of the builds for rangers, I'd suggest taking a look at www.pvxwiki.com it will tell u a lot of different types of builds for all professions for all uses, whether it be for farming running HAing etc
Also, rangers don't typically have the most 'profitable' farms... If you're really wanting to farm, make a monk and an assasin... You should then look to pvxwiki and the farming section of guru

Reason why u are dying is probably because you're soloing without a farming build... If you're dying in a party you should bring 1 or 2 survival skills... Lightning reflexes, remedy sig?

Lastly, regarding conjure flame, male sure you have a fiery bow and put at least 8 or so into fire magic..

Well, I don't find ranger as fun to play in PvE as PvP. Much like playing a mesmer, playing a good interupt ranger is SO much more satisfying against real players. You can just hear the guy on the other end of the line mutter "stupid ranger" as you distract a vital skill.

Not much in pve these days, since getting GWAMM there is nothing left there. Having a blast however getting the last rank of Luxon title playing AB and FA/JQ.

If you are using a conjure build flag your heroes and then use a longbow to pull the mob towards you. When you fire the longbow for the initial pull make sure you are beyond the aggro circle of the mob. Then run back slightly behind where you flagged the heroes and your tank or minions will step up to the mob taking the aggro. You can pretty much just sit back and barrage away at this point. Bring [Lightning Reflexes] or [Whirling Defense] for extra safety.

Try a 12 marks, 13 expertise (to get a 2 energy barrage) and put 10 in fire. Use survivor insignia and one major rune. Use a fiery bow of enchanting for best results. Also you could use [mark of rodgort] on a caster hero and equip all your melee heroes with fiery weapons as well.

Solo farm the wailing forest in FoW and do the raptor farm. Look in the farming section for builds and links to videos.
